I started this book 3.5 years ago when I got stuck at an airport . No kid, no husband then! Lol this book is actually older than my daughter. I was so bored I decided to write some sort of letter/poem to my then unborn child. And ta da, this was how my book started!

The “letter/poem” (now book) was meant to capture kinda a part of my life? But more importantly, some important lessons that l’ve learned through the course of my life and flying journey . I wanted my child to understand these life lessons, and to never forget some of the most important things in life – things like self love, determination, pursuing our dreams, having a big heart, being kind, showing respect.

As wrote it, I realised that it wasn’t all about teaching my child about these important lessons, it was also about reminding this grown up version of me that life isn’t just all about getting from point A to B to C… to Z. We must take time off for ourselves… for the people we love… for the things that matter.

l also wanted her to know that (like all mothers), I’ll always be there for her. and I’ll always give her a safe place to stay.
