丰满 (Feng Man): Full
The traditional writing of 丰 had a 豆 (dou; bean) in it, thus we decided to design this Ang Pow around the idea of lots of grain. Whenever we think of blessings and being full, we think of how God provides food in famine.
Aptly, printed on the back of the Ang Pow, 2 Corinthians 9:10 says “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
And now go forth, as we bless our families and community around us! 🙂

福满 (Feng Man): Abundance
“What do you think of when you think of abundance?” “Rain,” my husband said. Although rain is often associated with sadness and storms, it’s only with rain that crop can grow, and flowers can flourish. Back when we had a dry spell in Singapore, it was only after the rain did the trees bloom with flowers we’d never seen before.
Deuteronomy 28:12 says “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.”
